Davara Kekeni (Coastal girl) is kneeling in the surf, as depicted by the natual edge base. This sculpture can either be hung or displayed on a mantlepiece or pedestal.

The flowing, curved exterior grain has been retained to enhance the carving of the girl's long falling hair.
